Cochise County stretches along the Mexican Border in Southeast Arizona. The county split from Pima County in 1881 during the silver rush in Tombstone. The county is named for the legendary Apache Chief Cochise.
The county seat of Cochise moved from Tombstone to Bisbee in 1929. The 2010 population was 131,346.
